Stroke Alpha Release
June 15, 2025 · 3 min read
Hey there!
Today, I’m thrilled to announce that Stroke, my most lovable product I’ve ever worked on, is entering public alpha release. For the last 3 months, we’ve been testing it with my close friends – fellow creators like me.
Now it’s time to open the doors and share Stroke with a limited number of people I don’t know personally to get more feedback and understand how you would like to use Stroke daily.
The number of ways that you can use Stroke is truly incredible. Here are a few my ways:
- Work on documents with AI;
- Write a book with deeply integrated AI that understands the whole book’s context;
- Keep a daily diary with over 1,000 records already.
The idea of Stroke came to me when I realized that the way I write code is much more pleasurable for me than the way I write articles or work on docs. When I code – I just open my IDE and start coding. Whether I have the internet or not. I have everything I need just in one place – any extensions I need, built-in access to all modern LLM models, supporting any document types, cloud synchronization, and much more.
Why don’t we have such an integrated environment for creators? The current ways we use AI to work with text and images are so full of friction. If it’s something big, like a book, it’s even worse.
With Stroke, we believe somewhere in the future all that friction will be gone, and creators can focus their attention on creativity and not on jumping from one browser window to another.
We’re not even trying to remove the creativity from the work we, creators, do. But the thought of removing all that friction and mind-numbing parts of the process to make our work more fun and rewarding? That sounds pretty great.
For now, we still need to identify which bottlenecks we need to fix before we can launch the public beta.
I’m glad to introduce Stroke. If you want to join alpha testing and try it out please fill out a short form and I’ll get back to you (almost) instantly.
Cheers,
Vagan
